All Indians are my brothers and sisters.
I love my country
and I am proud of its rich and varied heritage.
I shall always strive to be worthy of it
and give my parents,
teachers and all elders respect
and treat everyone with courtesy.
To my country and my people
I pledge my devotion.
In their well being
and prosperity alone lies my happiness.

Father of Peace and Love. I need you. I seek your help -
That I may never be stubborn or obstinate but always docile, gentle and accommodating
That I may not be unjust or biased or partial or unfair.
That I may not grow indifferent or careless in my duties especially in my studies but diligent and conscientious and systematic.
That I may not get discouraged when things do not go as I would like them to go but be brave enough to try again and try harder with a strong determination to succeed.
That I may not break my good resolutions or promises but keep them and be faithful to them even at the cost of big sacrifices. That I may not doubt or suspect or rash judge others but trust and have faith.
That I may not complain or grumble when I am not pleased with the situation or circumstances in which I find myself but endeavour to put things right; and if I fail may I have the strength to adapt myself cheerfully.
That at home or in College, especially in class I may not be a cause of worry or disorder or indiscipline, but be helpful, obedient, respectful to my parents and to my teachers.
That I may possess these and other good qualities, O God! I need you. Amen.

O Lord God, Creator of All!
Stretch forth your divine hand to guard and protect our country.
Preserve it from material and spiritual harm.
May it have peace with the neighbouring countries and with all the nations of the world.
Help its people to bear each other's burdens and live in harmony with one another and solve their disputes amicably.
Endow the rich with a compassionate heart that in their plenty they may not neglect the poor.
Provide the poor with their daily bread.
Favour the workman with good health and the student with a mind to study.

O God, You are the Truth and the Origin of all knowledge;
Bless our studies, which we consecrate to you.
Enlighten our minds; strengthen our memories,
And direct our wills towards what is right.
Grant us to seek the truth always and make us truly wise.

O God, infinite wisdom and source of all knowledge;
Grant that we may remember what we have learnt.
We offer you our work and endeavours,
our failures and successes.
Forgive our shortcomings and give us the courage
to follow always the path of Truth.

Oh most loving God, say not that you will not help me. You have all power in Heaven and earth. Oh God, I have so sincerely struggled at my books and now I beseech you to never leave my side. Inspire me to give the apt answer to every question. Assist me to write correctly. You are the God of the whole Universe and mine in particular. Oh God come and live in me. Subdue every hostile power and grant me success in my examination. Remember your power is above all others. Do not forsake me at this moment. Oh God, Lead me on the path of success and keep me safe under your mantle.

Your kingdom come
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us today our daily bread
Forgive us our sins.
As we forgive those who sin against us
Do not bring us to the test,.
But deliver us from evil
